Talking on the single, she says: “I talk about a time where I didn’t feel like I was in my body and got so desperate to feel ‘normal’ again, that I was screaming out ‘why do I not feel human?’”.
TYPICAL
"Typical" is a raw, heartfelt ballad that explores the struggles of navigating social situations as someone who doesn’t fit the so-called “norm.” With vulnerability as her strength, Zara lays bare the inner conflict and isolation many neurodivergent people experience. Her deeply personal yet relatable lyricism invites listeners into her world, where they are reminded of the beauty in embracing who they are—even when they feel out of place.
